The Maldives welcomes the delegation of Philippines to this meeting.
The Maldives takes note of the acceptance by Phillipines to the recommendation made by Maldives to Continue its efforts to tackle human trafficking and noting the recommendation on Enacting an effective legislation aligned with international standards to combat the use of illegal drugs
The Maldives encourages Philippines to comply with international standards in its efforts to combat the use of illegal drugs
The Republic of the Maldives takes the opportunity to reiterate its appreciation for the Philippines’ efforts to promote gender equality and a better quality of education for all.
As a final note, we encourage the government of Philippines to establish its intended human rights action plan for the next five years, as it would be an important tool to foster development and socio-economic inclusion.
