International Trade has been a priority of the Maldives Government having ratified with several treaties. The mission has regular engagements with the Trade Organisations in Geneva including, World Trade Organisation (WTO), World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO), United Nations Conference on Trade And Development (UNCTAD), International Trade Centre (ITC) and other organisations concerning Economic and Development Issues.

Mission also engages in commercial diplomacy with the coordination with Ministry of Economic Development and Ministry of Tourism from the Capital.
